AS he holds dearly to his saxophone, you can't help but notice that Gerard holds on to it like a lover embraces a woman. The painting "The Kiss" painted with careful attention by Klimt comes to mind. Gerard is a musician filled with passion, energy, and spontaneity. His spontaneity revealed itself the other day when suddenly a message arrived to me, a message in the way of a video captured on the balcony of his hotel room from Tangiers. (watch below) Gerard is not only an accomplished saxophone player, he is also a singer and a poet. His musical styling is dynamic and even a little mischievous, playing cat and mouse with his audience.

Gerard's Poetry;
Sax Solo
A river rushes through my back And drags me out To the brilliant port, I cling on to my saxophone:
A siren ripping up the night With desperate screams, In red shreds swirls the maelstrom bar The audience flaps its pale hands In a rigid beat.
