I would like to introduce my ArtSees Diner readers to Illyak Negroni. Illyak comes to us from Puerto Rico. The heart of the Island echoes from Illyak's soulful music. When you hear him sing, you sense that each note, each word is intentional and weaves together "de la pasion de la cantore!" I was introduced to Illyak through Facebook when he delivered a song "You'll Be the One" a beautiful, gentle, love song that has become one of my favorites. As Illyak shared with his readers, this song was written with singer Ricky Martin in mind. As for this listener, no one can deliver it like its writer, Illyak.
Illyak’s innovative style is a blend of romantic melodies, party tunes, Latin rock, and feel good sounds. Illyak has collaborated in many musical projects, including the background vocals for Ricky Martin’s album Sound Loaded (2001), and Alejandra Guzmán’s “Soy tu lluvia”, the hit composed by Desmond Child, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry for her album Soy (2001). He was also the author and arranger of Ednita Nazario’s smash hit “Bajo Cero”, of her album Sin Límite (2001). Illyak was the composer and arranger of “Mil años” and “Libre”, both singles included in Todo De Mí (2005), the debut album of Univision’s hit TV show Objetivo Fama’s first season winner, Janina. Illyak also produced, arranged and composed another academy’s alumni debut album, Esteban’s Por Ti (2005). He has shared the stage or studio with artists and producers such as Ednita Nazario, Robi “Draco” Rosa, Desmond Child, Ricky Martin, Alejandra Guzman, Bob St. John, and Janina, among others. His proven maturity and unique style make Illyak a great choice for this generation. Illyak’s music is deep, intoxicating, fast, uplifting and addictive.
