ArtSees Diner is delighted to celebrate the life of Jose Maria Porto Fayos as he is about to celebrate his birthday! It is a great honor that we celebrate with other friends of the diner the life of this fine musician, especially as he shares a birthday with ArtSees Diner Patriarch, H. L. Rapier! That explains the depth, richness, the passion, that is Jose!
Born in Valencia Spain, he moved to Argentina at the age of 5. His father was a poet and his mother a dancer. Being surrounded by the beauty of and passion of the arts, he was drawn to music. He decided at an early age to learn how to play piano. By the age of eleven, he began composing music. Like many young men during the early 60's many of his influences were the Beatles and Tom Jones. He was also influenced by many Argentinian folk style, such as The Tango and The Milonga. The classical influence is predominantly found in J.S. Bach.
What inspires Jose Maria Porto Fayos? A sunset, an old couple walking hand in hand, a beautiful sky...the simple things. He is a romantic, filled with the richness and passion of a fine wine. We celebrate you Jose, and we encourage our readers to explore the life of a fine musician...Happy Birthday Jose! You are LOVED by many!
